Days 37-42

The time has gotten away from me with updating the blog! It is definitely springtime on the farm!

This post overlaps with the previous. I took these photos later in the day on Sunday the 11th when they were 37 days old, and had not yet uploaded them to the computer when I published the last post on Monday the 12th.

Day 37 - on pheasant wing

And looking tired after a long play session.

Last Friday, the 16th, the puppies turned 6 weeks old. The puppies got their first bath before John took them to the vet for their first round of vaccinations and an overall health check. We were extremely pleased to receive a perfect bill of health for ALL 8 PUPPIES! Everything from their eyes, ears, hips, and weight, were all great. The vet said they couldn't look any better. Their weights ranged from 5 - 6 lbs.

Here are a few pictures before they loaded up for the vet. This was my attempt to get every pup so I could do their little nicknames and personalities, since they were so clean from their bath, but they were way too interested in playing! I do still plan to do that though, hopefully this weekend.

Tomorrow the pups turn 7 weeks old, and I am blown away by how quickly the time has passed. A family is coming to pick up their puppy, one of the sweet little girls, on Saturday. I am already dreading saying goodbye - this is the first one to go! - although I know this is a perfect match and that she will be very well taken care of and happy with them.
