D.D.'s New Home & Update

D.D. went to her new home in  Minnesota on May 7.  Her family is a hunting family with young children. We received an update, with pictures, about a week after she arrived, and she looked like she had always been there!  Here's the email:

I wanted to give you an update on how the first week has gone with our new puppy. We ended up naming her Callie and she is a beautiful pup.  Jeremy said she was really good on her journey back to MN. It was a long car ride home, but well worth it. She was pretty mellow the whole ride home but as soon as she entered the house, she was on a roll. She checked out everything and finally showed us her spunky side. You were right when you said she was VERY curious. She loves to carry around shoes, tear off plant leaves, chew on Barbie dolls and yank on my daughters pony tail!  We kept the fact that we were getting her from our girls and they were pleasantly surprised. They just love her and can't get enough of her. Callie has a wonderful personality and loves affection. She has to sit in my lap every morning while I'm doing my hair, otherwise she cries. She loves the outdoors and the girls enjoy taking her for a walk to burn off some of that energy!  She was sleeping in a kennel at night and didn't seem to mind that but the girls really wanted her in their room, so the last couple of nights, she has slept with them in bed. It's so cute. She cuddles right up to them and has her head on the pillow too. She has had accidents in the house even though we take her outside constantly so we will really work on getting her potty trained now that she is familiar with her surroundings. The best thing Jeremy has noticed is that if you throw a ball, she will retrieve it and bring it back to you. The hunter in him thinks this is great! It's been a year now since we put our Yellow Lab & English Setter to sleep and it's been quite lonely around the house so this addition to the family is wonderful and long overdue. It's nice to have a furry little friend greet you at the door again. Thanks again for selling this precious pup to us. I think we'll keep her :).
